The Cork Sugarcraft Association was founded in 1994 to promote the development and enhancement of skills in the art of sugarcraft. The art of sugarcraft includes cake decoration with royal icing and sugarpaste, modelling, chocolate and marzipan techniques and sugar flowers.

The assocation's members range from complete beginners to sugarcraft professionals and new members are always welcome.

The activities of the association include monthly demonstrations of sugarcraft techniques and orgnisation of weekend workshops. Every two years the association hosts a national competition and exhibition.
